Choose a repeatable task
Start with work your team already understands: preparing a response, organizing a brief, or routing an enquiry. Record its current steps before deciding what to automate.
Define completion
Write down what a good result looks like, who reviews it, and what the worker should do when information is missing. Use example inputs your team is permitted to share.
Keep a person accountable
Name an owner for the workflow and its approvals. Compare reviewed outputs with the current process before broadening access or authority.
Improve one thing at a time
Look at the clarity of inputs, relevance of context, and quality of the handoff. A smaller reliable workflow is a useful foundation for the next one.
